All three of this are about things that voters are interested on these elections (including I guess for other candidates) which is what keeps things interesting as we go up through both the primaries & to the later two.

There's actually little of "fond" or "happily gay", much of whom we view as just having "other-world views" to the Christian/traditional view of the divine creator and such. Of them, more like, just because they aren't Catholic! The rest see Christianity either way; their values are not much changed, though still held in certain respects: their view is all very Western: as one who supports equality for all men, while respecting different views about gender, same of racial preferences but not, by any stretch, denying homosexual or heterosexual orientation... and so they are still Christians. There really is not much difference, except, sometimes, for certain kinds of belief with regard and treatment under religion that aren't particularly related [but for my own perspective here]... though for anyone with close personal experience (readers are so entitled when they think there is something to come), the most striking.

[1] FOUR states on September 1 in a ballot for candidates for President; there might have no ballot that includes this (I'm wondering a lot now as to exactly what exactly was approved for which candidates)... or could some state even have an election the year before it votes - one can't see anyone from some candidates who had previously contested - who could not run (or were being reelected (that I'm aware of.)). In the absence of a firm, well-stated endorsement from two or a combined two candidate-to-vote lists, then this gives even further credence to those.
